It seems the music industry feels its being hard done by again in that people arent pouring enough of their hard earned into buying music books and sheet music but instead opting to get free tabs of popular songs off of the internet. Well boo hoo, its not enough that CD prices are now well into £12 but now if you want to actually learn to play these songs to keep the music industry alive you have to spend a further £15-20 to buy the “official” scores and of course as usual the angle is “well, its stealing from the artist isnt it, these artist pour their hearts into their music to make a living and by not paying 20 quid for the priviledge of learning their songs you are stealing money out of their pockets” and of course all of the money made from music books and CD’s goes straight to the artist doesnt it Mr record executive. Does it fuck!!!! Paying for songs is one thing but whats next, are they gonna say that I as a guitar teacher am not allowed to listen to a song, work it out and write it down for one of my students? Anyway, heres the link incase you’re interested. Suck my chubby, Music Publishers’ Association.
